Mini Masterchefs in November
This fall, our children stepped into the role of Mini Masterchefs, discovering the joy of preparing simple dishes while learning about the nutrients that help their bodies grow strong. Guided by their teachers, the children made their own burgers from scratch—mixing, cutting, baking, and finally enjoying the meal they made themselves. Cooking became a classroom for curiosity, where measuring, sequencing, and tasting turned into lessons about health and independence.
Going back to Nature
Our philosophy of going back to nature reminds us of the joy found in slowing down and reconnecting with the earth in a fast-paced, technology-driven world.
To bring this philosophy to life, we’ve invested in creating spaces where children can learn and play in harmony with nature. Our café playhouse and ever-blooming garden are places where imagination thrives, friendships grow, and lessons about food and life unfold every day. Through hands-on lessons in harvesting from the farm, students discover that every apple, carrot, and tomato begins with soil, sunlight, and care. Here, nature is not just a backdrop—it is the heart of our learning journey.
An Award That Grew Into Community
All of these meaningful experiences—our lessons in harvesting, the café playhouse, and the ever-blooming garden—were made possible because in 2021 we were honored to be one of only two preschools in Southern California to receive the Farm 2 Fork grant. This recognition allowed us to bring more locally grown food into our classrooms and expand the learning experiences we offer. It was a milestone that deepened our commitment to sustainability and community connection.
